  1. What were your reasons for accepting the Lean for Life Challenge?

I had just joined Fitmania and thought this would be a great kick start to my fitness journey.  I have had good success with prior challenges at another gym.  I was looking for a way to keep my self motivated and accountable.

  1. What were your successes, obstacles, life changes, etc. during the Challenge?

After the first two weeks of (3 a week) classes, I ran a half marathon and then another one a week later with out hurting and it felt good.  I did my first duathlon and was pleased with my times.

I lost inches and have more muscle definition.  I sleep better at night.

Meal planning was my biggest obstacle.  I did try to eat healthy.  Without planning, it made for fast food choices since I have been on the road so much with work.

Afternoons and stress was a food trigger.  Food that we were trying to eliminate seemed to find it way into the house and into my mouth.  If someone else is eating, I right there with them.

I have been dealing with menopause for a few years.  All of those emotions were de-motivators.  They seem to getting lighter.
